Višegrad is a city located on the banks of the river Drina in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

There are numerous buses each day from Sarajevo and Banja Luka in Bosnia, and Uzice and Belgrade in Serbia.

Many visitors come to Višegrad to walk the famous UNESCO World Heritage-listed Bridge constructed by the Ottoman Empire and completed in 1577. The bridge was made famous by the awarded novel Bridge on the Drina by Ivo Andric.
